Glueing Rubber and (Rubbery) Plastic together?

Landscaping supply companies have this sort of thing in stock, but most it is vinyl You are dealing with,,, so I have a suggestion. Wall- Mart has a product called " plastic Welder" ( the brand name escapes Me, however) I have gotten it at K- Mart too- anyway it has a little vinyl ester in it, and is most excellent for solvent- bonding many types of plastic together, ie, it 'melts' the surfaces slightly and actually welds them together- You will know by putting some on the material, allowing it to set a min, and then scraping it off, observing that it actually attacks the surface ever so slightly... it is not a glue, more of a solvent- This bond is superior, much like when You fit PVC pipe together- strong, watertight, and permanent...good luck!
