How can I stop being a sugar-holic?

I eat candy and other sugars like soda much to often and in big quantities. I bought 3 lbs of Gummy Bears ( Yes, 3 pounds ) and ate them in 1 day. It's bad. My teeth aren't effected as far as sight goes ( They have no signs of yellow coloring ) because I brush my teeth after everything I eat, but the amount of candy I eat is obviously terrible for my health. What can I do to stop the ongoing crave of sugar?
