We are planning on hiring a Jazz Band for our wedding, but the more I think about it...?

I'm not so sure. We haven't signed a contract yet. I went to college to study Music and the man with the Jazz band is one of my former clmates. He is FANTASTIC! It's like we're hiring Louie Armstrong for our wedding! But here's the dilemma. I'm concerned that no one will dance to this music because it will all be Jazz Standards the entire time. That's what I've requested. But I told my fiance that I know my girlfriends will want to dance, and so will I, but I don't want to be the only one dancing at our wedding. Would it just be safer to hire a DJ? I know it will be cheaper. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you in advance to helpful answerers only.
