considering the laptop was in bits (back off, most of the internals out) and it was filthy i thought it was a reasonable offer, 20 mins later a guy came into the shop asking if i had been sold a laptop, told him i had, he claimed it was his and his house had been robbed, i asked him to prove it and when i put the thing back together and it powered up he showed me items on it that where his....i then got the police involved and as a gesture of goodwill gave the lad his laptop back, (cleaned and flaming repaired as well). the police are now saying i could be charged with handleing stolen goods, i didnt know it was stolen, and 40 quid for a laptop thats in bits and filthy wasnt an unreasonable price. can they do this? the guy who came in and asked for his laptop reckons it was his mate who robbed him and he saw his leaving my shop as he drove past, thats why he came in, even the police think they aint telling the whole story, yet its me they are getting heavy handed with. i have never been arrested, never been in trouble with the law and never been investigated, i even deal with police within my business.....just seems a bit strange that its me they are getting heavy with as the thief is doing the silent act in interview!!!

After oil change level not showing on dipstick?

I have a 2002 Mercury Villager that depicts in manual that it takes 4.2 quarts of oil. After oil change I added 4 quarts, checked dipstick without starting and nothing shows on stick and it's completely seated back in tube. I am afraid to start without seeing oil on stick, am I suppose to turn engine over to get a reading?. I pulled the drain plug to see if oil went into pan, and yes it flows out strong, re-added what I took out and still no reading - am I safe to turn over engine even though stick has no reading, completely dry??????

Wall- Mart has a product called " plastic Welder" ( the brand name escapes Me, however) I have gotten it at K- Mart too- anyway it has a little vinyl ester in it, and is most excellent for solvent- bonding many types of plastic together, ie, it 'melts' the surfaces slightly and actually welds them together- You will know by putting some on the material, allowing it to set a min, and then scraping it off, observing that it actually attacks the surface ever so slightly... it is not a glue, more of a solvent- This bond is superior, much like when You fit PVC pipe together- strong, watertight, and permanent...good luck!

I quit 3 months ago and feel great! I am now working out and breathing so much better! Cigarettes have so many other chemicals besides carbon monoxide... but after 2 or 3 days you should feel awesome. I was a 18 year smoker and after the first week it got easier and easier. You got into an auto accident and no one got a ticket but, you used someones car, there was no insurance, and that person was legally disabled. The state sent them a letter saying they had to turn in their license and tags. The person filed an appeal and the state did not take the license or tags but, the person with the disability cannot renew their tags due to the accident that the other person had in her car. That person needs the vehicle for Doctor's appointments for her and her Mother who has MS. They live in a small town where there is no public transportation and no one to transport them. Is there any exemption for that person so she can get the tags for her vehicle? She is on SSi and cannot afford an attorney and legal aide said they do not handle cases like that. The insurance company totaled the other persons vehicle when it only had a dent in the rear pengers door for $10,000.00. I have searched the web all day and cannot find a thing. I live in Texas but, she lives in Iowa. Legal advice would sure be appreciated. I don't know how to help her. Thanks.

What's going on and how can I fix this? My car jerks in idle when I apply the brake (not emergency brake) Almost like its about to kill over. When its on and in park it doesn't do it as much (but still a little bit). The rpm needle jumps between 0 and 1 when it does this irregular jerking and a little bit between 1 and 2 (closer to two). So the other day was snowing really bad. My Brother's car was parked on the road and the plows were getting ready to come out. My husband offered to move his car out of the road because he was going outside. Once an eye is ruptured, there is no treatment other than removing the eye. It's really a fairly minor surgery, and the kitten won't care one little bit. I have had two foster kittens who had to have ruptured eyes removed - one was due to an untreated infection (prior to coming to rescue of course) the other was due to a corneal scratch. Both kittens are now much loved cats in their new homes. The only "issue" is that since the kitten's vision will of course be compromised, he must be kept indoors only for his own safety. Other than that, he will heal from his surgery and be none the worse for wear.

Also remember that the lower the selectivity of the schools you apply to, the hihger chance you have of recieving merit aid (if that is even an issue for you). So if you got in to georgetown, but got merit to NYU, I would suggest NYU because it is VERY prestigious and you will graduate with less debt, which will make your life WAYY easier.

i have 95 mustang 5.0 v8... i bought the car with a lot of performance bolt-ons already installed i have a vibration from 3500 rpm to about 6000 rpm and i dont know what it is...i changed the flywheel with an aluminum racing ram flywheel and the vibration seemed to have dimmed down some but came back about a week after the flywheel was replaced. i had a few people tell me it could be my harmonic balancer or dampner and i took a look at it and that thing wont budge or anything and has no play in it even when the car is running, the vibration does not occur when in neutral, anyone have any idea on what this vibration could be?

To make a long story short: I was in my freshmen year of college and received financial aid and also took out a student loan.I was involved in a bad accident that left me unable to go back to school for some time. I love people who ume that corporal punishment should be dismissed out of hand. Is not any form of discipline forcing your ideas on a less powerful person. Yelling at a child, grounding a child, taking valued objects away from a child, all of these are forms of punishment and the can be just has damaging to a child's mental health. I would be the first to admit that way too many parents cross the line from corporal punishment to abuse, and that is the risk of corporal punishment. Are deer bones harmful for dogs? Or plants?

Long story short, I had a dog that had to be put to sleep because of it's internal bleeding (and would not eat, unless it was human food). At the time, the only explanation we could come up with is that my dog ate a plant that my ex-stepmom put in the house (the vet said the bleeding may have been because of some sort of poisan or so). I am 15, highly intelligent and go to a gifted school. I do not believe in God, and my father is a preacher. I know the Bible better than most devoted Christians. Do not try to har me your conversion methods. My friend and I, both of the same age, have a very odd sense of humor. We laugh at things that only each other say, and quite sporadic events within our lives. I never laugh at normal things such as cl clowns (because I am one and kids are easy to manipulate) and fat people falling. I will give you an example of something I laughed at hysterically. One day I was instant messaging my friends in a chat room and one of them sent a random mixture of letters like- ajsjhfhjs. So I told my friend that has my same sense of humor her mom probably was beating her head against the keyboard. Another instance of hysterical laughter was when I was coming home from wrestling practice, and my grandmother unknowingly hit the school sluts dog. These are just minor events that I can only think of on the top of my head but they truly show the only types of things I think are funny. I think about people dying just for the fun of it and find no wrong or heart-felt emotion from it. Doctors reading, please help?

Ok, so about 3 weeks ago I started to eat healthier than my normal diet, and I also started to do exercise daily for about 2 or 3 hours. In addition I started to lift weights (which now takes up 90% of my exercise time) and I started to eat protein rich foods like lean chicken, protein bars, muscle milk, and lean jerky. I've noticed that my heart has been hurting lately. It's like a sharp pain directly over my heart, but not too intense that it stops my in my tracks. It doesn't occur while I work out, but more like when I flex my stomach or hold in a laugh. I was wondering what this pain is. What's causing this pain? Is it my new protein rich diet? I haven't gone to a doctor for this, and there is no genetic disability in my family that's ociated with the cardiovascular system. I guess I should also mention that I was heavily into energy drinks and suppliments for about a year and a half, but I haven't drinken any since I started to work out and changed my diet.

I was arrested for DUI and began the investigation myself early. I went and picked up a copy of my police report from the station. I was extremely tired after being awake for 16 hours i must admit i should have went straight hom but decided to go grab a bite to eat and a gl of wine. A cheeseburger fries and gl of wine around midnight. My cousin and I talked for a while and ended up leaving at 3am. I took her home and went on my way. I accidently collided with a car side by side. I honestly didnt feel a thing just thought we came close the damages are paint scratches. I was waiting at the red light when I was hit from behind. Its a one way street and its really dark. I immediately get out to inspect the car. No damges at all. The guy starts yelling and cursing at me so i say ok let's exchnage insurance info. A cop comes and we explain to him what happened. He then decides to perform a test on me. He flashed a light in my face and told me to follow the pen and I did without moving my head. He immediately put me in cuffs. After an accident they take me to the hospital to sleep. I wasn't finger printed until the am when they released me. They gave me my license back NO notice of suspension and told me they parked my car where I was on the 1 way street. I checked the DMV I am not suspended and I have already went to my arraignment.It's been 30 days They read my charges which were DUI and Leaving After Colliding. They asked for evidence and prosecutor said Refusal. How can this be when in the 1st report its says I consented to a urine which was secured as evidence. Now they are saying refused. I have never been in trouble in my entire life. I am guilty of the accident and I have insurance to cover her minor damages. no one was hurt at all. Your going to have to take him out more often, for a new puppy every 2 hours is to long for them to hold it. Also watching him and his behavior, if he begins to sniff around take him straight outside. I'm not sure on the exact story behind this but my family is famous for house training their dogs by hanging a small bell from the door knob of the door they took the dogs outside from. Everytime they took the pup to the door they would take the dogs paw and hit the bell, sooner or later the dogs learned to hit the bell to go outside instead of barking. I've done it for every dog I've ever had, its just a neat way for the dog to let you know that it has to go outside (I'm currently working on them hitting a doorbell to come inside, so far so good). It does however take a couple weeks of constant taking them outside every hour for them not to have accidents inside the house. Taking your pup outside more often is definitely the answer.

Well, I;m only twelve and I'm pretty lazy with saving money but i've gotten the hang of it. My MONTHLY income is about 50$ and month for doing the paper run every friday. (puting papers in people mail boxes) and i have about 50 bucks in there now and the computer i really would like is around $800 - $750 dollars and i was hoping to atleast save up $700 then have a little help from my mum and dad. On pictures and in video, I always seem to see water flowing back into the sea, or lake, or whatever on large ships. Where does this water come from? Is it leaking through the hull? How to get rid of dark circles?

I'm 13 and have heriditary dark circles. Yes, i realise i spelled heriditary wrong lol. Anyway, I get 8-10 hours of sleep every night because i'm asleep by 9:30-10:00 and wake up around 6:30-7:00 so it's not sleep caused. But it HAS gotten worse over spring break since ive been stayin up late and sleepin in. I eat fairly healthy i guess lol well not really but i'm incredibly thin anyways but I should probably stop eating so many cookies(: I've tried different combos of concealers, foundations and makeup styles to try to hide them but nothing works ! I've tried chilling wet spoons in the freezer and putting them under my eyes but I think it made them worse. I've also tried using chilled wet tea bags (put in the freezer for 12 minutes). To increase circulation, i've been following instructions ffrom the video (link at end). I do the prosses twice a day (startin yesterday haha).
